How to Make the Paper Cup Koala Craft

1. Prepare the Template

Download and print the template. Trace the body, hair tuft, outer ears, and arms onto grey or brown cardstock. Trace the inner ears and belly onto light pink paper, and the nose onto black paper. Cut all pieces out.

2. Wrap the Cup

Apply craft glue to your large rectangular “body” piece and wrap it around the paper cup until it is completely covered. If you don’t have a template for the body, you can simply paint the cup grey or brown and let it dry.

3. Assemble the Face

  • Ears: Glue the small pink inner ears onto the larger grey outer ears. Attach these to the sides of the cup near the top rim.
  • Hair: Glue the little hair tuft right at the top center of the rim.
  • Features: Glue on the googly eyes and the large black oval nose. Use a Sharpie to draw a small, curved “W” shape for a cute mouth.

4. Add the Details

Glue the pink belly circle to the lower half of the cup. Finally, attach the arms to the sides of the cup so it looks like the koala is ready for a hug (or reaching for a eucalyptus leaf!).
