BBK 12: Bigg Boss Kannada House Transforms into a Grand ‘Kannada Palace’ – Here’s What Makes It Special

A magnificent palace inspired by the Mysore Palace has been unveiled for Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12, reflecting the rich culture and heritage of Karnataka. Host Kiccha Sudeep introduced viewers to the unique features of this season’s ‘Bigg Boss Kannada Palace,’ which has already become the talk of the town.

Unlike previous years when it was simply called a house, this time the Bigg Boss set has been designed as a royal palace — a gift to Kannadigas from the makers. On Sudeep’s suggestion, the new house is overflowing with Kannada culture and artistry, creating a proud identity for the show.

A Showcase of Karnataka’s Diversity

Speaking about the theme, Kiccha Sudeep said:

“Karnataka is a land of art, culture, and traditions. Every 100 kilometers, food, attire, and customs change, but the essence of being Kannadiga unites us all. Bigg Boss represents this unity through diversity.”

The palace interiors include Channapatna dolls, Yakshagana murals, Kambala-inspired art, Hoysala sculptures, and Dasara motifs, making the space a cultural canvas of Karnataka. A goddess idol modeled after Hampi’s stone chariot, a Dasara elephant with ambari, and symbolic tiger paintings add to its depth.

What’s New Inside the Palace?

  • Two dining tables instead of one, for added dynamics.
  • Two bedrooms instead of the usual single sleeping area.
  • No prison cell this season — a big shift from tradition.
  • Forest-inspired bathrooms with lush greenery designs.

Sudeep, while touring the palace, remarked:

“I really like this house. No prison in sight! Many battles were fought to save palaces in history. Now many battles will be fought to survive in this palace.”

A Personal Touch from Kiccha Sudeep

Before starting Season 12, Kiccha Sudeep honored his late mother Sarojamma, who was an ardent Bigg Boss fan. He began the show by taking her blessings, touching her saree, and applying Saibaba Vibhuti and Anjineya kumkum from her collection.

A Royal Beginning

With its palace-inspired theme, Bigg Boss Kannada 12 is more than just a reality show set — it’s a cultural tribute to Karnataka. This season promises not just drama and entertainment, but also a proud celebration of Kannadiga heritage.
